Tasmanian artist Janice Ross and British artist Jane Wildgoose respond to the history of Mathinna: an Aboriginal child taken from her mother, but later abandoned, by the lieutenant governor of Tasmania John Franklin and his wife Jane, in the early nineteenth century.

‘These are our Living Stories’ accompanies ‘Seeing Truth in Museums’, an exhibition at Conway Hall in London in 2025.
